Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: August 30, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the travel-advisory and travel-booking services provided by David Hockenberry dba Hockcloud Travel (“Hockcloud Travel,” “Hockcloud,” “Agency,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to each person who requests or purchases our services (“Client,” “you,” or “your”).
By requesting a quote, approving an itinerary, providing traveler information, making a payment or deposit, authorizing a transaction, or otherwise using Hockcloud Travel’s services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
Hockcloud Travel is an independent travel advisor affiliated with Fora Travel, our host agency. Travel arrangements may also be subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable airline, cruise line, hotel, resort, tour operator, transportation provider, travel insurance company, or other travel supplier (“Supplier”).
1. Hockcloud Travel’s Role
Hockcloud Travel provides travel-advisory, planning, research, reservation, and related services.
Hockcloud Travel acts as an intermediary between Clients and independent third-party Suppliers.
Hockcloud Travel does not own, operate, manage, or control airlines, cruise ships, hotels, resorts, tour companies, transportation providers, rental-car companies, excursions, travel insurance companies, or other Suppliers.
Suppliers are responsible for the actual travel services they provide, including their schedules, equipment, accommodations, personnel, safety practices, cancellations, refunds, changes, and operational decisions.
Hockcloud Travel will make reasonable efforts to assist Clients with planning and communicating with Suppliers but cannot guarantee the availability, performance, safety, quality, schedule, or actions of any Supplier.
2. Supplier Terms & Conditions
Every travel reservation is subject to the applicable Supplier’s terms and conditions.
Supplier terms may include separate rules concerning:
Supplier terms may differ from these Terms.
By proceeding with a reservation, you agree to comply with the applicable Supplier’s terms and conditions.
Where a Supplier’s terms specifically govern the Supplier’s travel service, those Supplier terms will control that portion of the transaction.
3. Quotes & Pricing
Quotes provided by Hockcloud Travel are based on pricing, availability, taxes, fees, currency exchange rates, and Supplier information available at the time the quote is prepared.
A quote is not a guaranteed reservation or guaranteed price unless expressly stated otherwise.
Prices and availability may change at any time before the applicable reservation is confirmed.
A reservation generally becomes confirmed only after the applicable Supplier accepts the reservation and any required deposit or payment has been successfully processed.
Quoted prices may not include optional or additional expenses such as:
The applicable booking confirmation or invoice should be reviewed carefully to determine what is and is not included.
4. Deposits & Payments
Travel Suppliers establish their own deposit and payment requirements.
The applicable deposit amount, payment schedule, final-payment deadline, and cancellation terms will be provided in the applicable quote, invoice, booking confirmation, or other travel documentation.
Deposits or payments may be non-refundable or subject to cancellation penalties.
You are responsible for making all required payments by the applicable deadlines.
Failure to make a required payment on time may result in cancellation of your reservation, loss of deposits or other amounts paid, and/or additional fees.
Hockcloud Travel is not responsible for losses resulting from a Client’s failure to make a required payment by the applicable deadline.
5. Agency Planning & Service Fees
Hockcloud Travel may charge separate professional service fees for travel planning, research, itinerary development, consultation, booking, changes, cancellations, or other services.
Any applicable Agency fee will be disclosed before the fee becomes due.
Agency fees are separate from amounts paid to Suppliers.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, Agency service fees are non-refundable once the applicable service has been performed or the planning process has begun.
A Supplier’s decision to issue a refund, credit, or other compensation does not automatically require Hockcloud Travel to refund an Agency service fee.
6. Client-Requested Changes & Cancellations
If you request a cancellation or change to a reservation, the applicable Supplier’s policies will determine whether a refund, credit, or other remedy is available.
Supplier cancellation or change penalties may include:
Hockcloud Travel may assist with the cancellation or change request but does not control the Supplier’s policies or final decision.
Clients should contact Hockcloud Travel as soon as possible when requesting a change or cancellation.
7. Supplier Changes & Cancellations
Suppliers may change, delay, modify, substitute, or cancel travel arrangements.
Examples include changes resulting from:
If a Supplier changes or cancels your travel, Hockcloud Travel will make reasonable efforts to assist you in understanding available options and communicating with the Supplier.
Any refund, credit, rebooking, compensation, or other remedy will generally be determined by the Supplier’s policies and applicable law.
Hockcloud Travel cannot guarantee that a Supplier will provide a refund, credit, alternative transportation, upgraded accommodations, reimbursement, or compensation.
8. Air Travel
Airline tickets are subject to the fare rules and conditions of the applicable airline.
Airline tickets may have restrictions regarding:
If an airline changes or cancels a flight, Hockcloud Travel may assist with available options, but the airline determines the remedies available under its rules and applicable law.
9. Codeshare & Operating Carriers
A flight may be marketed by one airline but operated by another airline.
The operating carrier may have policies and procedures that differ from the marketing carrier.
Clients should review their itinerary and ticket documentation for information regarding the marketing and operating carriers.
10. Travel Documents & Entry Requirements
You are responsible for obtaining and carrying all documents required for your travel.
Depending on your itinerary, these may include:
Travel requirements can change at any time.
Hockcloud Travel may provide general information or direct you to government or Supplier resources, but you are ultimately responsible for confirming that you and every traveler in your party meet all applicable entry, exit, transit, identification, and documentation requirements.
Hockcloud Travel is not responsible for losses resulting from a traveler’s failure to obtain or carry required documentation.
11. Passports, Visas & Admissibility
A traveler’s nationality, citizenship, immigration status, passport, previous travel, criminal history, or other circumstances may affect eligibility to enter or transit through a destination.
Hockcloud Travel does not determine whether a traveler is admissible to a country.
Travelers with concerns about visas, immigration matters, criminal records, or admissibility should consult the appropriate embassy, consulate, government authority, or qualified immigration professional before booking travel.
12. Identification Requirements
Travelers are responsible for carrying identification that meets the requirements of the applicable airline, transportation provider, government authority, airport, cruise line, or destination.
Identification requirements may change.
For U.S. domestic air travel, travelers should consult the Transportation Security Administration and other applicable government authorities for current requirements.
Hockcloud Travel does not guarantee that a particular identification document will be accepted by a government authority or Supplier.
13. Health & Medical Requirements
Destinations and Suppliers may impose health, vaccination, testing, medical, or other requirements.
Travelers are responsible for determining and satisfying requirements applicable to their itinerary.
Hockcloud Travel may provide available information from Suppliers or government authorities but does not provide medical advice.
Travelers should consult an appropriate medical professional regarding health concerns associated with travel.
14. Travel Advisories & Assumption of Travel Risks
Travel involves inherent risks.
These may include illness, injury, accidents, crime, weather, political instability, natural disasters, transportation disruptions, terrorism, civil unrest, and other unforeseen events.
Clients are responsible for deciding whether travel is appropriate for themselves and members of their traveling party.
Hockcloud Travel encourages travelers to review current government travel advisories and other authoritative information before departure.
15. Travel Insurance
Hockcloud Travel strongly recommends that travelers consider purchasing appropriate travel insurance.
Depending on the policy, coverage may include certain losses associated with:
Insurance policies differ significantly in coverage, exclusions, limits, and conditions.
If you purchase travel insurance, the insurance policy determines whether a particular claim is covered.
Hockcloud Travel does not guarantee that an insurance claim will be approved or paid.
If you decline travel insurance, you accept responsibility for losses that might otherwise have been covered by an applicable policy.
16. Itinerary Accuracy
Hockcloud Travel makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate itineraries and travel information.
Travelers should carefully review all booking confirmations, tickets, invoices, and Supplier communications.
If you discover an error, notify Hockcloud Travel promptly.
Hockcloud Travel is not responsible for errors originating with a Supplier or third party.
17. Foreign Currency
International travel may involve foreign currencies.
Exchange rates may change between the time a quote is prepared and the time payment is processed.
Your financial institution, credit-card company, payment processor, or Supplier may apply its own exchange rate, foreign-transaction fee, or other charge.
Hockcloud Travel does not control those charges.
18. Prohibited Airline Ticketing Practices
Hockcloud Travel will not knowingly arrange travel for the purpose of circumventing an airline’s published fare rules or policies.
Examples of prohibited practices may include hidden-city ticketing, throwaway ticketing, duplicate reservations, or other conduct prohibited by an airline.
If a Client directs Hockcloud Travel to engage in prohibited conduct and that conduct results in a penalty, debit memo, charge, or other financial loss to Hockcloud Travel, Hockcloud Travel may seek reimbursement from the Client to the extent permitted by applicable law.
19. Fraud Prevention & Identity Verification
To protect Clients, Suppliers, payment methods, and Hockcloud Travel from fraud and unauthorized transactions, Hockcloud Travel may require identity or payment verification.
Depending on the circumstances, verification may include:
Hockcloud Travel may use third-party identity-verification and fraud-prevention providers, including Didit, where appropriate.
Where required by applicable law, Hockcloud Travel will provide appropriate notice and obtain any required consent before collecting or processing biometric information.
If required verification is not completed, Hockcloud Travel may delay, decline, place on hold, or cancel a reservation to the extent permitted by law and applicable Supplier rules.
20. Fraudulent or Unauthorized Transactions
Hockcloud Travel does not knowingly accept fraudulent, deceptive, unauthorized, or improperly obtained transactions.
If Hockcloud Travel reasonably suspects fraud, identity theft, unauthorized payment use, falsified information, fraudulent documentation, chargeback abuse, or other unlawful or suspicious activity, we may, to the extent permitted by law:
If a reservation is paid using another person’s payment method, the payment-card holder may be required to verify and authorize the transaction.
21. Privacy & Personal Information
Hockcloud Travel collects and uses personal information as reasonably necessary to provide travel-advisory services, arrange reservations, process or facilitate payments, communicate with Clients, prevent fraud, verify identity, comply with legal obligations, and administer our business.
Personal information may be shared with travel Suppliers, our host agency, payment processors, identity-verification providers, fraud-prevention services, insurers, professional advisers, government authorities, and other service providers when reasonably necessary to provide requested services, process transactions, prevent fraud, comply with applicable law, or protect Hockcloud Travel and its Clients.

22. Limitation of Agency Responsibility
Hockcloud Travel is responsible for providing its own travel-advisory and booking services with reasonable care.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hockcloud Travel is not responsible for losses, injuries, damages, delays, cancellations, schedule changes, missed connections, lost or damaged property, denied boarding, denied entry, illness, accidents, or other consequences caused by the acts or omissions of Suppliers or other third parties beyond Hockcloud Travel’s reasonable control.
This includes circumstances involving airlines, cruise lines, hotels, tour operators, transportation providers, governments, airports, ports, insurance companies, or other third parties.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
23. Force Majeure
Hockcloud Travel will not be responsible for failure or delay in performing its obligations when caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include:
Supplier-specific refund, credit, or cancellation rights remain subject to the applicable Supplier’s policies and applicable law.
24. Supplier Charges & Debit Memos
If a Supplier imposes a charge, penalty, debit memo, or similar assessment because of a Client’s unauthorized, fraudulent, or prohibited conduct, Hockcloud Travel may seek reimbursement from the Client for the resulting amount to the extent permitted by applicable law.

You authorize Hockcloud Travel to communicate with you regarding your travel arrangements using the contact information you provide.

If you elect to receive marketing communications, you may unsubscribe using the instructions included in those communications.
Unsubscribing from marketing communications will not prevent necessary transactional or travel-related communications.

You agree that Hockcloud Travel may communicate electronically through email, electronic booking systems, websites, messaging services, or other electronic methods.
Electronic communications, confirmations, invoices, and approvals may constitute written communications where permitted by applicable law.
You are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information and promptly reviewing communications relating to your travel.
27. Changes to These Terms
Hockcloud Travel may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business, Supplier requirements, technology, payment procedures, applicable law, or other circumstances.
The current version will be posted on the Hockcloud Travel website.
For an existing reservation, changes to these Terms generally will not retroactively alter the contractual rights and obligations already established for that reservation unless required by applicable law or otherwise agreed.
28. Governing Law & Venue
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent federal law or other applicable law requires otherwise.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, legal actions arising from or relating to these Terms or Hockcloud Travel’s services shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Maryland.
Nothing in this section is intended to prevent a Client from exercising consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived or restricted.
29. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law.
The remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
30. No Waiver
A failure by Hockcloud Travel to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision in the future.
31. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any applicable quote, invoice, booking confirmation, Agency service-fee disclosure, Supplier terms, and other written agreements specifically applicable to your reservation, constitute the agreement governing the applicable services.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and a Supplier’s terms, the Supplier’s terms will generally control matters relating specifically to that Supplier’s travel services.
